| Production Notes: | 2009 was a delayed Zinfandel ripening vintage with ripeness not being the jammy, ripe style as in years in the past. Rather, it was picked before the deluge that started Oct. 18th to botrytis and dilution. |
| Winemaker Notes: | Our innagural release! A classic, California Claret Style Zinfandel more reminiscent of Zinfandels from the 60’s and 70’s Deep ruby red in color, our Napa Valley Zinfandel has bright fruit notes of red and black cherry, blackberry, mandarin zest framed by oak, juniper, white pepper and nutmeg. This spice carries over to the palate and finishes with balanced moderate tannins. A great match for hearty pasta dishes such as roasted vegetable lasagna or pork loin with cherry balsamic reduction.
