Aromas of blackberry, currant, and pipe tobacco. Abundant with fruit and well-integrated tannins.

Wine Profile
Production Notes
2011 was one of the coolest on record for the state of California. There was above average rainfall over the entire state and the heat that normally punctuates our growing season never materialized. A cool foggy spring was followed by a cool, foggy summer. Typical Indian Summer patterns developed in September, which brought our fruit to ripeness.

The Central Coast AVA is one of the largest and most important grape growing regions in California. Its boundaries stretch from Santa Barbara County in the south up to San Francisco in the north. While the coastal areas are well suited to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the warmer inland regions are tailor-made for Cabernet Sauvignon and its Bordeaux compatriots.
Winemaker Notes
Our 2011 offers classic Cabernet aromas of blackberry, currant, and pipe tobacco. On the palate, the wine is abundant with fruit and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and beautifully composed. As is to be expected of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine will benefit from a breath of air before it is served.
Food Pairing Notes
Steak, lamb or roasts are excellent accompaniments to this fruit-forward wine.
